It was a cold night in ABY 6 and a baby was born that was strong in the force. This boy's name was Aaron Kriketon, and by the time he was two he had tapped into his force abilities. Doing as much research as he could find on the "power" that he had he found that an ancient civilization had used the same techniques--this civilization was the Jedi. Mathandal from there on began to start training as a Jedi on his own. About the time that he was just getting the hang of his training Jedi Master Luke Skywalker came to Bantu to find Mathandal.

Master Skywalker looks at Aaron with those big caring eyes. "I have sensed your presence in the force passing by this planet," Master Skywalker said. "I am to believe than that you have perhaps started some training on your own?" the Jedi Master inquired. Luke notices after a minute of silence that he has not introduced himself. "I am Jedi Master Luke Skywalker."

"Jedi Master?" Aaron says in awe. "I thought that you had all been driven out of the galaxy by the Empire." Aaron knew that the Empire had been defeated by the evil Darth Vader, but never that the jedi had returned.

"No we were not driven from the galaxy completely." Luke says. " There were two jedi that are known to survive; you have no doubt heard of Obi Wan Kenobi and Yoda. They are the two that I accredit my training to, and the only two know surviving jedi." Luke can feel the boy's strong presence in the force. The ora that this little boy, who is no more that 12, gives off amazed the Jedi Master.

"I did not know that the jedi had come back. I have read a lot about them in holocrons though. That is where I accredit my training to so far. Though my training had not been really good, because I have had to teach myself." Aaron finishes his statement, but he feels a weird sensation in his mind that he has never felt before.

"The Jedi have come back and we are in greater numbers than you would think. I have come to ask you if you would want to train at my Jedi Academy on Yavin 4. OF course I must ask your mother first, but I want to know if it is ok with you." Luke says. All the sudden Luke feels a disturbance in the force and ignites his lightsaber. Just as Luke does this a few imperials on the planet come out and shoot at Luke and Aaron. Luke deflects most of them with his lightsaber, but Aaron is unarmed and gets shot. Though the bullet only grazes his knee, he hits the ground in pain and within minutes he passes out.

When Aaron wakes up he is in his home on a bed. "What happened Master? All I saw were were were imperial troopers I think. We have never had them here before." Aaron says through gritted teeth of fear.

"Yes they were imperials, and they just happened to graze your kneecap with a blaster bolt. I have scanned the area for more of them, and there seem to be none. The blast however, did injure you. I do not think that without proper care and training your knee will be able to heal. You will need to use the force to heal that. Would you like to come to Yavin 4 with me?" the hopefull jedi states. "It would be great to have this kid come to Yavin. He would show the other jedi that they can accomplish what they want if they try." Luke thinks to himself.

Aaron senses that Luke really wants him to go, but why? "Is this some kind of trick? Is he really a jedi master, how do I know I can trust him?" The force tells him that it is ok and he asks his mother if it is ok. "Mom can I go? I am sure that I will be gone for a long time, but I will become what I have always wanted." Aaron tells his mother.

After about ten minutes of silence his mother, Jennigal or Jenn for short, spoke an answer. "However much I would not like my son to be away I feel that it is his destiny. He may go with you to be trained Master Skywalker." Jenn said, tears streaming down her face.

"I wll not fail you mother. I will become a jedi and return to tell you about it. Take care till than mother...goodbye I love you!" and with that Aaron and Luke turn and leave the room. Luke gets into his x-wing and Aaron gets into his little starfighter that his father had stolen for him. Suddenly Aaron felt very sad at the thought of his father. The ruler of Bantu had asked his father, a bounty hunter, to kill one of the most respeted people of Bantu. His father had died in the attempt. The last thing that Aaron remembered of his dad was the starfighter. Aaron had taken it out everyday to keep it used and warm.

The two, Jedi Master and Jedi Padawan, fly out of the planets atmosphere. Aaron implants the the hyperspace coordinates. "What will await me on Yavin 4?" Aaron says aloud.

Aaron and Luke arrive in the Yavin System Late in the night. The journey took two days, of these two day only one was spent talking. The final day of the journey Luke assigned Aaron to meditate till they got to the Yavin System. Aaron did what he was told, and meditated. Using this new technique that Luke tought him, breath in for 8 seconds; hold it for 7; release for 6, Aaron accomplished a greater meditation than ever before. As the two came into the Yavin system Aaron spoke into the com, "Master Skywalker I have achieved a form of meditation unlike any time before. Thank you for that Master, it has strengthened me."

"No problem," Skywalker says, "It is just one of the many things that you would have learned on Yavin had you been taken when you were younger. I am going to have to start you out with the older padawans, because I feel that you are strong enough in the force. You will only have to spend a couple months here, and than you may become an apprentice if a master asks you."

That was Aaron's dream, to become a Jedi Master and train a young one to learn as he did. He realized how close his dream was already, and the power that would come to him very soon. Aaron could not wait to tap into his power and find out what he could do. "Thank you Master, I will not fail you." The two land on the moon Yavin 4 and fly into the hangar bay. Aaron and Skywalker emerge from their ships, a group of young and old, jedi and apprentices by the looks of it, had gathered in the hanger bay.

"Welcome back Master Skywalker!" said one of the Jedi Masters. Aaron noticed that the jedi did not bow as he had seen Lord Vader do to Sidious in one of the holocrons.

"Thank you for the welcoming party Gandor. I am pleased to announce that I have brought someone with me." Luke said with a smile. "This is Aaron Kriketon, he is a force strong young man. I found him on the remote planet of Bantu on the way back, he is strong in the force and trained himself in the jedi arts. He will begin training with the 6th years tomorrow. For now I will show him his quarters and around the temple."

"Master," Gandor said, "I need to speak with you immediatly!"

"Very well walk with us." Luke said. Mathandal searched the force and felt the uneasyness of being asked to discuss this matter in front of a mere apprentice; these harsh feelings toward Aaron had angered him greatly. "Control that anger Aaron. You do not need to be angered by this little thing, you must learn to control your anger or you will fail your training and become that which we fight against. The very thing that you swore to destroy, as Obi Wan once told my father."

"Your father master?" Aaron said quizically.

"Yes my father, Darth Vader," Luke said. Aaron couldn't believe it, Vader was Lukes father. Why than had Luke not turned to the darkside? "I sense your confusion young one. You will get the full explenation later from a friend I am sure. Now Master Gandor, what is it that you need to tell me?"

"I must inform you that my apprentice has been killed. He had apperently been learning the dark side on his own, and he let it loose today on another apprentice in the lightsaber practice session. I had to ask him to stop and that is when he decided to turn his saber on me. He was killed in the battle." Gandor said with regret in his voice, Aaron could sense the regret was false.

"I can tell that you are sad over this Master Gandor," Luke said, "I am sorry to hear that he tried to turn to the darkside, and even sorrier that you had to kill him. I understand that you did what you felt must have been done. You may take on another apprentice if that is what you were wondering."

"Well yes Master it was, but I will have to wait a little bit for the apprentice that I want." Gandor said. Gandor wanted to take the young Aaron under his wing, teach him what he knew. He could tell that Aaron was powerful. He would wait the month that he had to in order to get this strong apprentice.

"That sounds like a plan than Gandor. Now, go and leave Aaron and I alone." Luke said. Luke showed him his quarters and around the temple over the next two hours. Luke than said goodnight to Aaron and went off. Aaron was booked with a young boy, Jaks. Jaks was kinda goofy but he seemed nice.

For 6 months Aaron trained at the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4. As soon as Master Skywalker gave the ok for Aaron to have a master Gandor asked Aaron, but Aaron declined. Aaron wanted to continue his training a little bit more with his friends before leaving them. The time now was 20 ABY and Aaron was going to accept Gandor's offer. Finally, Aaron had become a Jedi Apprentice.

For 5 years Aaron trained under Gandor. The two went on many missions for the New Republic. Aaron had become very powerfull under Gandor's teachings, but still had some weaknesses. Aaron had met a young girl on Corellia, Jasmine. Jasmine had long blonde hair and wanted to someday become a senator. The two of them seemed to get along great, things were going good until the day the Yuuzhan Vong hit the galaxy. Aaron was called into battle and had little to no time with Jasmine. The bond between the two was still very strong.

When will Aaron become a Jedi, and what will await him during the Yuuzhan Vong War?

The start of the Yuuzhan Vong war brought a new found fear to the New Republic. The beings seemed that they couldnt be beaten, every tactic that the N.R. tried failed. The jedi were trying to stay out of the war, and Aaron and his master did not see this as smart. The jedi were given a power, and the two felt that the jedi should use their power to help win the war. The two were soon followed by Kyp Durron. While many believed that it was Kyp that started the whole "Jedi should use their power" thing, it was really Aaron and Gandor. The only reason that Kyp gets all the credit is because Gandor never brought this to the attention of the other Jedi Masters. The two, Aaron and Gandor, decided to take their ships and go fight in the war. They had already fought in many of the battles against the Yuuzhan Vong when Luke called all Jedi back to the Yavin 4.

Four months before the attack on Yavin 4 Master Skywalker had wanted to tell all the jedi masters that they needed to let their apprentices go and train another. Skywalker thought that all the apprentices of the jedi out in the battles would be well trained enough. "I have called you all here to make an annoucement that will shock you," Luke said. "Young apprentices you will be taking the trials today, ALL of you. Masters it is a crucial time for the jedi and we need more trained. The trials shall begin at 1300 hours." With that Luke Skywalker turned and left the room to supervise the trials.

"Master do you think that I am ready?" Aaron asked Gandor.

"You are strong in the force and have learned much my young apprentice. You will pass the trials with ease." Gandor said with his hand on Aaron's shoulder.

"Thank you master," Aaron says, "I will not fail you again my master." Aaron relives the time when Aaron had failed his master. It was the start of the Yuuzhan Vong war and Gandor had told Aaron not to leave. Aaron had a strong sense in the force that his mother was in grave danger, but his master had told him not to go. Aaron did not wish to disobey his master but he must save his mother. Little did Aaron know that his master was right to tell him not to go, Aaron had went all the way back to Bantu to realize that his mother was not in danger at all. In fact when Aaron arrived on Bantu he found that it was a trap by a Dark Jedi by the name of Nimphadora. Nimphador was a member of the Peace Brigade and had lured Aaron into a trap to either kill him or turn him to the dark side. When Aaron arrived he was filled with anger on being tricked and wished no more than to kill the dark jedi that brought him here.

"I sense your anger, let it go and kill me if you wish." Nimphadora said.

"I do wish to kill you yes, and I will kill you," Aaron said as he charged at Nimphadora. The battle raged on between the two, each with an injury within five minutes. Mathandal parried one of Nimphadora's move and went in for the killing blow, but Nimphadora jumped out of the way. The blow from Aaron had so much strength behind it that he fell to the ground. Nimphadora sent a blast of sith lightning Aaron's way.

Gandor, who had been watching the whole time shut off to the force, jumped out of hiding and took in the lightning with his saber. "You should not have allowed yourself into the opening my old apprentice." Gandor said.

"So you know who I am, even with the new facial tattoos and everything. You are wise my old master but weak in the force." Nimphadora said with a laugh to Gandor. The two, former apprentice and former master, battled on for thirty minutes until Aaron could get up.

Aaron watched the battle rage on for another five minutes before sensing that he should jump into the battle. Aaron ignites his lightsaber, ready to get back into the battle.

"Stay out of this Aaron," Gandor says. Just as he told Aaron this Nimphadora delievered a crashing blow to Gandor, slicing his arm off and cutting his leg. Gandor falls to the ground unconcious, and Nimphadora just laughs.

"I have beaten you once again my master," Nimphadora said, "See Aaron your master is a weak fool. You should join me, learn the ways of the darkside of the force, become strong and gain power."

"He is not weak," Aaron said, tears streaming down his face, "he is the most powerfull jedi outside Master Skywalker. I will never turn to the darkside." Aaron charges Nimphadora, feeling his master slipping away, he hurries with the battle. Within five minutes Aaron had Nimphadora on the ground, weaponless. He knew that he shouldnt kill her, but he felt he needed to. Aaron stabbed at Nimphadoras heart, but Gandor summoned the lightsaber from his hand.

"Do not kill her, that will lead you on the path to the darkside. Come we must get to the ship and leave." Gandor said.

This memory replays in Aaron's head over and over again. He will not let himself fail his master again. Aaron heads off to the Jedi Trials. He is waiting outside when he senses a disturbance in the force. Another trick by Nimphadora, he was assuming, he would not leave and take the bait again.

"Young Aaron, please proceed in," Master Skywalkers soft voice floated through him. For Luke was not out of the trial room, but communicating with Aaron through telepacy. This was the first test in the trials. Aaron walks in the room to begin the trial. After thirty minutes of excrutiating tests Master Skywalker tells Aaron that he has made his decision. "You have much anger inside of you young one, but you have passed the trials. You are granted the rank of jedi."

"I have passed the trials master," Aaron was telling Gandor, "I am now a jedi. I will still fly with you and the squadron though.

"You may do as you wish now.....Aaron." Gandor, for the first time calling Aaron by his name, said with tears in his eyes. A sudden beeping noise came inside the temple, a message from the Chief of State.

"We need all reinforcements available, the New Republic is in grave danger," said the Chief of State.

"We will go. I will take Aaron and whoever else wants to go with me," Gandor said. And with that the two hopped in their ships and left.

I had to double post because it wouldnt all fit in one.

Aaron, Gandor, and three other apprentices went to the chief of state's office. When the Jedi Master and the other three jedi arrived in his office he was estatic. "Finally a group of pilots that may be able to help the New Republic. Tell me the names of your friends Master Gandor," Cal Omas said.

"This is my young apprentice Aaron Kirketon, he is strong in the force and a good pilot. He has just become a Jedi Knight. These two are also Jedi Knights, this is Reed Dempsy, and this is John Spence. We will be flying for the New Republic and are awaiting our first mission," Gandor said.

"Well you have no immediate mission. You just need to get out there and fly with the other squadrons against the Yuuzhan Vong. Now please go I have an important meeting!" Omas said.

The four got in their ships and headed out to fight the Yuuzhan Vong. Though they did not fly totally with the squadrons, the four added to the death of over one hundred Yuuzhan Vong within the first year. The year now was ABY28, and the Yuuzhan Vong had taken over much of the galaxy. Just over a year since the Yuuzhan Vong took Courascant and many deaths on both sides, Aaron and Gandor were the only ones left of their squadron. Aaron and Gandor are called to attend a meeting to discuss the fate of the New Republic. After many heated discussions, all of which Aaron and Gandor stayed out of, it was down to a vote. The votes were in and counted and the New Republic was no more, it was now the Galactic Alliance. "Master this is an outrage. How can we join forces with those that we battled so hard against to become the New Republic?" Aaron said.

"This is a time of war Aaron, we must do what needs to be done to win this war. Even if that means we ally with those that we do not wish to," Gandor said, a slight grin on his face.

"I understand master, it is just that Master Skywalker and the New Republic fought so hard to become what they are to be taken down only a few years later. It is just suprising," Aaron said. As Aaron finished his statement an alarm sounded. Another battle was to ensue, Gandor and Aaron rush to their ships. This battle is harder than the rest, the new warmaster was a lot smarter than the last. Aaron felt a huge disturbance in the force, what was this disturbance. Aaron searched through the force and felt his former master was in danger. Aaron looked out the window and saw his master pursued by four coralskippers; Aaron immediatly dropped the coralskipper that he was in battle with and rushed to his master's aid. Aaron destroyed three of the four, but he could not get the last one. All the sudden Aaron's ship stopped moving and the power died, just as fast as that had happened a coralskipper zoomed over his head. Now Gandor had two skips after him, all his defensive manuvers couldnt save him; within two minutes Gandor's ship had been blown to pieces.

Rage filled Aaron, he must destroy the skips. He searched the force to find what was wrong with his ship, but he realized that his engine had been overheated by the plasma. Aaron fired up his engines and zoomed after the skip. The battle between the three went on for hours before Aaron had dismantalled both of them. Aaron did not meet back with the other squadrons but sent his ship into lightspeed, destination Yavin 4. The burning of Gandor's body, well actually a burning in his honor as his body was in pieces in space, took place three nights after his death. Aaron had decided to give up the ways of the jedi and assume his own training. "Great anger I sense in you Aaron," Luke had told him on the night of Gandor's memorial.

"I have left the path of the jedi to seek revenge on the Yuuzhan Vong. I will not fight with the GA any more either. I am sorry Luke, but I can not do what the jedi do anymore. I will take this battle on to my own accord and destroy the Yuuzhan Vong. Again I appologize," Aaron said to Luke.

"I am sorry to hear this Aaron. I saw you as a great Jedi Knight Aaron, but you must follow your own path. I hope that you do not turn to far to the dark side." and with this statement Luke turned and left the temple.

Aaron, or as he was called now Mathandal, had helped defeat the Yuuzhan Vong in the final battle. The next time Luke and Mathandal met the time was 35ABY. "I have heard of the holo that you viewed Luke. I know that must be hard," Mathandal said.

"Yes Aaron," Luke was saying, "it has been hard yes, but not as hard as what I heard you have been through."

"I go by the name of Mathandal now Luke, and I have been through no hardships that have not made me stronger."

"I know what you go by now, but you will always be Aaron to me." Luke said firmly.

"Well than we will have no need to speak again. I am no longer Aaron and have let myself fall to the darkside. I will one day become a strong sith lord and you will be dead." and with that Mathandal hopped on his speeder to go to his ship. Mathandal jumped in his ship and went off in search of his new master.

This is the END of the story. I may write more on my charecter later, but it will not be anytime soon. Thank you for reading!
